The MicroLoan Foundation USA has officially launched. 

During the Global Poverty Initiative Conference at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on April 19th, the MLF USA was unveiled.

The headquarters is in Cambridge, Massachusetts and is currently recruiting volunteers and interns from area colleges.  The US team will initially focus on fundraising, allowing US donors to make contributions that are fully tax-deductible, and work closely with the UK team to support ongoing operations in Malawi and Zambia.

The US strategy will focus on grassroots fundraising, the use of the latest information communication technologies, and innovative research on microfinance.  More
